Chatling Pricing Plans From $25 and Chatling AI Credit Costs

October 15, 2026

Answers from your own pages, human handoff, one line of JavaScript. Plans from $49/mo with AI conversations included.

Chatling pricing has four tiers: a Free plan with 200 AI credits, Starter at $25 a month ($21 billed yearly) with 1,750 credits, Growth at $75 ($63 yearly) with 6,000 credits, and Scale at $295 ($246 yearly) with 35,000 credits. What a credit buys depends on the model: one AI reply costs 1 credit on GPT-6 Luna, 5 on GPT-6 Sol and 25 on GPT-6 Astra. Extra credits are $10 a month per 1,000, and removing the Chatling badge is $35 a month below Scale.

The figures below come from chatling.ai/pricing, checked in October 2026, in US dollars. Several review sites still quote older plans at $29, $40 or $99 with different credit amounts, which no longer match what you can buy. After the plan table you will find the credit rate for each model, the add-ons most teams end up paying for, real monthly totals at four traffic levels, and what a conversation-priced chatbot costs for the same work.

Scale$246 a month ($2,950 a year)$29535,000710100 million characters

Paid plans add full widget customization, analytics, email credits, voice input and knowledge base resyncs. Growth adds round robin routing of handed-off chats and a satisfaction survey. Scale is the only plan without the Powered by Chatling line. AI credits and the other monthly allowances reset every month, and yearly billing saves about 17%.

How much does Chatling cost per month?

Chatling costs $25 a month on Starter, $75 on Growth and $295 on Scale with monthly billing, or $21, $63 and $246 a month when you pay for a year upfront. For a small business website that wants its own branding on the widget, the realistic bill on Starter is about $60 a month once the $35 badge removal is added.

The plan price is the floor, not the bill. What you actually pay depends on three things: how many AI replies your visitors trigger, which model writes those replies, and which add-ons you need.

How do Chatling AI credits work?

Chatling charges AI credits for each AI reply, and the rate is set by the model you pick for the agent. The pricing page lists 0.5 credits per reply for the lightest models such as Gemini 2.5 Flash and DeepSeek V3.2, 1 credit for GPT-6 Luna and Claude Haiku 4.5, 4 for Claude Sonnet 4.6, 5 for GPT-6 Sol and Grok 4.7, 10 for Claude Opus 5.5, 12 for Claude Sonnet 5 and 25 for GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.

Model credit rateExample modelsConversations from Starter's 1,750 creditsConversations from Growth's 6,000 credits
0.5 credits a replyGemini 2.5 Flash, DeepSeek V3.2about 700about 2,400
1 creditGPT-6 Luna, Claude Haiku 4.5about 350about 1,200

12 creditsClaude Sonnet 5about 29about 100
25 creditsGPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5about 14about 48

The conversation counts assume 5 AI replies per conversation, a typical length for a visitor who asks about price, then a feature, then how to get started. Pre-sales chats often run longer. The spread is the point: the same plan can cover 700 conversations or 14, so the model choice matters as much as the plan choice.

What add-ons does Chatling charge for?

Chatling charges for add-ons on a monthly basis, and most business websites need at least one. The list on the pricing page:

  • Extra AI credits at $10 a month per 1,000.
  • Branding removal at $35 a month, included only on Scale.
  • Extra seats at $10 a month each.
  • Extra AI agents at $3 a month each.
  • Extra knowledge base at $2 a month per million characters.
  • Custom domain at $10 a month per domain.

Because these are recurring add-ons rather than one-time packs, they stay on the invoice until you remove them. If your team already juggles several subscriptions with usage add-ons like this, it pays to track SaaS spend in one place so a credit add-on bought for one busy month does not quietly renew for a year.

Chatling cost at four traffic levels

These totals use monthly billing and 5 replies per conversation, with the Chatling badge removed, since most businesses do not want another brand on their checkout or contact page. Subtract $35 from any Starter or Growth figure if you are happy to keep the badge.

Conversations a monthModel rateCredits usedCheapest Chatling setupMonthly total
2001 credit1,000Starter plus branding removal$60
1,0001 credit5,000Growth plus branding removal$110
1,0005 credits25,000Scale, branding included$295
2,00012 credits120,000Scale plus 85,000 extra credits$1,145

The break-even point between adding credits to Growth and moving to Scale is about 24,500 credits a month if you need the badge removed, or 28,000 if you keep it. Below that, Growth with extra credits is cheaper. Above it, Scale is, and it also brings 10 seats and 7 agents.

Is Chatling worth it for a small business?

Chatling is worth it for a small business with modest traffic that is happy with a light model and does not mind the Chatling badge. Starter at $25 a month, or $21 billed yearly, is one of the cheapest ways to put an AI agent trained on your site in front of visitors. It is a weaker fit when you want a strong model on every answer, when you need your own branding, or when more than two people share the inbox.

The question to ask is what the chatbot is for. If its job is to answer buyers and pass qualified leads to your team, the expensive moment is the detailed pre-sales chat, and that is exactly where a cheap model gives the weakest answer. Pricing that punishes the better model pushes you toward the worse answer on your most valuable visitors.

What does a conversation-priced chatbot cost instead?

A conversation-priced chatbot charges the same for a chat whatever model answers it and however many replies it takes. InChat costs $24 a month billed yearly ($49 monthly) for 500 AI conversations with 3 team members, $74 ($149) for 2,000 conversations with 10 team members, and $249 ($499) for unlimited conversations. Human handoff with routing and a widget without our branding are included from Starter.

WorkloadChatling, monthly billing, no badgeInChat, monthly billing
200 conversations, 1-credit model$60$49 (Starter)
1,000 conversations, 1-credit model$110$149 (Plus)
1,000 conversations, 5-credit model$295$149 (Plus)
2,000 conversations, 12-credit model$1,145$149 (Plus)

The honest summary: on a light model at around 1,000 conversations a month, Chatling costs less. With the badge removed at low volume, or on any mid-range or strong model, InChat costs less, and the bill does not move when you change the model. The Chatling alternative page prices five common setups side by side, and the InChat pricing page lists every plan limit.

Does Chatling have a free plan?

Yes. Chatling's free plan includes 200 AI credits a month, one AI agent, one seat, a 500,000 character knowledge base and web chat. At 5 replies per conversation on a 1-credit model that is about 40 conversations a month, enough to test answer quality but not to run a business website. The badge stays on and analytics are not included.

How does Chatling pricing compare to Chatbase and Wonderchat?

Chatling is the cheapest of the three to start. Chatbase Hobby is $40 a month for 700 credits and Wonderchat Basic is $149 a month for 5,000 credits, against $25 for 1,750 credits on Chatling Starter. All three bill per AI reply and charge more credits for stronger models, so the same caution applies. See the full breakdowns in our Chatbase pricing and Wonderchat pricing articles.
