When you add your URL, our crawler visits every page (up to 50 free, unlimited on Plus). For each page we extract meaningful text, strip nav/footer boilerplate, and split content into chunks of 500–800 tokens. Each chunk becomes a high-dimensional embedding — a vector representing meaning, not just words.
When a visitor asks a question, we convert it to the same kind of embedding and search for the most semantically similar chunks of your content. This is retrieval-augmented generation. The AI doesn't hallucinate — it finds relevant chunks from your actual content, passes them to the language model as context, and generates a response grounded in what your website says. If nothing relevant is found, the AI acknowledges that.
