For Re:amaze teams whose AI Agent bill grows every month

Reamaze alternative and Reamaze competitors for stores paying per AI resolution

InChat is an AI chatbot for your website that trains on your store pages, policies and PDFs, answers shoppers around the clock and hands the chat to a person when it should. AI conversations are part of the plan price, so the bill does not move when the bot gets better at closing chats.

The short answer

Re:amaze costs $29, $49 or $69 per team member a month on Basic, Pro and Plus ($26.10, $44.10 and $62.10 billed yearly), or a flat $59 a month on Starter for up to 500 responded conversations. Its AI Agent includes 5, 10 or 20 resolutions per team member a month, then charges $0.85 for each additional resolution. InChat is a Re:amaze alternative for website chat that includes 500 AI conversations and 3 team members from $24 a month billed yearly, and 2,000 AI conversations with 10 team members on Plus, with no per-resolution fee.

A sizing question at 11 pm, an order placed before breakfast

Most stores move off Re:amaze for the same reason: the AI Agent works, so it resolves more chats, and every resolution past the small allowance costs $0.85. On InChat the AI answers first, the conversation counts toward the plan, and the chats that need a person go to someone who is already included.

Reamaze vs InChat, what the same workload costs each month

Seven setups priced from each vendor's public pricing page with monthly billing, in US dollars. On Re:amaze we count every chat the AI Agent closes on its own as one resolution and apply the included allowance of 5, 10 or 20 per team member. On InChat the same chat is one AI conversation inside the plan. Where Re:amaze is the better buy, the table says so.

What you need Re:amaze InChat Difference
1 person, people answer most chats, AI barely used Basic at $29 Starter at $49 with 500 AI conversations Re:amaze about $20 less

Why teams switch

What changes when AI chats are part of the plan

01

No meter on resolutions

Re:amaze bills $0.85 for every AI resolution past 5, 10 or 20 per team member. On InChat, AI conversations are counted against the plan: 500 on Starter, 2,000 on Plus, unlimited on Pro.

02

Seats included, not priced one by one

Starter includes 3 team members and Plus includes 10. Re:amaze Basic, Pro and Plus are priced per team member, from $29 to $69 a month each.

03

A person can take over the chat

Human handoff with agent routing is on every plan. Your team replies from a shared inbox, sees the full transcript, and the shopper never leaves the window.

04

Email, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram on Plus

Plus brings email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram into the same inbox as website chat, so replies go back on the channel the customer used.

05

Trained on your own store pages

Paste your URL and InChat reads product pages, size guides, shipping and returns policies. Upload PDFs such as care guides or wholesale terms on top.

06

Answers show their source

Each answer names the page it came from. Fix a weak answer by editing the page or adding a short instruction, then ask again.

How it works

Move from Reamaze in one afternoon

  1. 1

    Paste your store URL

InChat reads your public pages, FAQ center and policies. Upload the PDFs and docs your Re:amaze FAQ articles were built from.

  2. 2

    Replay your real questions

Export the twenty questions shoppers ask most from your Re:amaze conversation history and ask them here. Where an answer is thin, add a page or a short instruction.

  3. 3

    Swap the embed code

Remove the Re:amaze chat script and paste the InChat script tag before the closing body tag. On Shopify it goes in theme.liquid as a single line.

  4. 4

Invite the people who take handoffs

Add up to 3 teammates on Starter or 10 on Plus, set routing and switch the widget on before your Re:amaze renewal date.

What is the best alternative to Reamaze?

The best alternative to Re:amaze for a store that mainly needs website chat is a chatbot that includes AI conversations and the people who answer chats in one plan price. InChat covers 500 AI conversations, 3 team members and human handoff for $24 a month billed yearly, and Plus adds 2,000 AI conversations, 10 team members and an inbox for email, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram.

If your team lives in a full help desk with email tickets, SMS, voice and order data pulled into every conversation, Re:amaze or Gorgias is the closer match, and we say so in the table above. Most of the stores that write to us after leaving Re:amaze have a simpler problem. The AI Agent started resolving a real share of chats, and the $0.85 per resolution line on the invoice became larger than the seats.

How much does Reamaze cost per month?

Re:amaze costs $29 per team member a month on Basic, $49 on Pro and $69 on Plus with monthly billing, or $26.10, $44.10 and $62.10 per team member billed yearly. A flat Starter plan costs $59 a month for unlimited team members but is limited to 500 responded conversations a month. There is no free plan; a 14-day trial with Plus features needs no credit card.

The AI Agent is included on every per-seat plan with an allowance of 5 resolutions per team member a month on Basic, 10 on Pro and 20 on Plus. Each additional resolution costs $0.85. A three-person team on Basic therefore has 15 included resolutions a month. If the AI closes 300 chats, the bill is $87 in seats plus $242.25 in resolutions. The full breakdown, with totals for four team sizes, is in our Reamaze pricing article.

Is Reamaze good for Shopify stores?

Re:amaze is good for Shopify stores that want a full help desk, because it pulls order numbers, items and order history into the conversation and handles email, social, SMS and voice in one inbox. It is a weaker fit for a store that mainly wants an AI chatbot on the storefront, since AI resolutions past the small allowance are billed at $0.85 each on top of per-seat pricing.

A store doing a few hundred AI-handled chats a month is where the gap shows. On InChat Starter, a Shopify store with three people answering handoffs pays $49 a month, or $24 billed yearly, and the AI can answer sizing, shipping and returns questions from the store's own pages without a per-chat fee. The install is one script tag in the theme.

When Reamaze is the better choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than switch twice. Re:amaze is the stronger pick in these cases:

  • You run support from email tickets. Re:amaze is a shared inbox help desk first, with unlimited email inboxes on every plan. InChat brings email into the inbox on Plus, but it is built around website chat.
  • You need SMS or phone support. Re:amaze Pro and Plus add SMS and voice channels. InChat does not answer phone calls or text messages.
  • Agents need order data in the ticket. Re:amaze shows the customer's orders inside the conversation. InChat answers from your public store pages and does not look up individual orders.
  • A large team rarely uses the AI. The $59 Starter plan covers unlimited team members up to 500 responded conversations, which is cheaper than any InChat plan for five or more people.
  • You want a status page or screen sharing. Re:amaze includes a status page on Pro and live screen sharing on Plus.

Who are Reamaze competitors?

Re:amaze competitors split into two groups. Ecommerce help desks such as Gorgias, Zendesk and Help Scout compete on email tickets and order data. Website chat tools such as Tidio, LiveChat, Crisp and InChat compete on the chat widget and the AI that answers in it. Which group you belong in depends on where most of your conversations start.

If they start in the inbox, compare Re:amaze with the Gorgias alternative and Help Scout alternative pages, which price ticket-based tools on the same workloads. If they start on the storefront, the Tidio alternative page shows how a separately priced AI add-on compares with a plan that includes AI conversations.

The better the AI gets, the bigger the resolution line

Usage pricing sounds fair until the bot starts doing its job. A store that lets AI answer sizing, shipping and return questions can see a few hundred resolved chats in a busy month, and at $0.85 each that line overtakes the seats. InChat counts those chats against the plan instead, so a good month for the bot is not a bad month for the budget. When a chat needs a person, it goes to one of the 3 team members on Starter or 10 on Plus.

Who it is for

Teams that switch from Reamaze to InChat

Shopify and DTC stores

Shoppers get sizing, shipping and returns answers from your store pages, and damaged orders or wholesale questions go to a person who is already on the plan.

Subscription boxes and apparel brands

Peak weeks around launches and holidays bring the same ten questions hundreds of times, which the AI answers without a per-resolution fee.

SaaS companies

Trial users get setup answers from your docs, and a buyer asking about an annual contract is routed to sales without leaving the chat.

Reamaze alternatives, common questions

No. Re:amaze has no free plan on its pricing page. It offers a 14-day free trial that includes Plus features and does not need a credit card. After the trial the cheapest per-seat plan is Basic at $29 per team member a month, or the flat Starter plan at $59 a month. The Re:amaze AI Agent includes 5 resolutions per team member a month on Basic, 10 on Pro and 20 on Plus. Each additional resolution costs $0.85. A two-person team on Pro gets 20 included resolutions, so 200 AI-resolved chats add $153 to the $98 in seats.

Yes, for stores whose AI answers a real share of chats. InChat Starter costs $49 a month, or $24 billed yearly, for 500 AI conversations, 3 team members and human handoff, with no per-resolution fee. For one person who barely uses AI, Re:amaze Basic at $29 is cheaper.

Yes. If your Re:amaze FAQ center is public, paste its URL and InChat reads the articles along with the rest of your site. You can also upload the same content as PDF or text files. Most stores are answering their real questions within an afternoon.
