Gorgias Pricing Plans and AI Agent Cost per Resolution
September 30, 2026
Gorgias pricing starts at $10 a month for Starter (50 tickets), $60 for Basic (300 tickets), $360 for Pro (2,000 tickets) and $900 for Advanced (5,000 tickets) on monthly billing, or $50, $300 and $750 a month on annual billing. Enterprise is quoted. On top of the plan you pay for extra tickets and for every AI Agent resolution, $0.90 on annual billing or $1.00 monthly, after a small number included in each plan.
So a Gorgias bill has two meters, and both follow your traffic: how many conversations get a reply, and how many of those the AI closes on its own. Below are the plans, how tickets and AI resolutions are counted, and monthly totals for four real store sizes. Figures come from gorgias.com/pricing and its pricing FAQ, checked in September 2026, in US dollars.
Gorgias pricing plans compared
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Tickets included | Extra ticket | AI resolutions included |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $10 | not offered | 50 | $0.40 | 30 |
| Basic | $60 | $50 | 300 | $0.40 | 30 |
| Pro | $360 | $300 | 2,000 | $0.36 | 190 |
| Advanced | $900 | $750 | 5,000 | $0.36 | 530 |

Every plan comes with a 7-day trial. Voice and SMS are sold separately and scale with your call and text volume, so they are not in the totals below. Third-party plan comparisons list Starter at three users, while the plans above it are not priced per seat.
How much does Gorgias cost per month?
A store that uses the AI Agent typically pays between $130 and $1,900 a month for Gorgias. The plan fee is the smaller part once volume grows: at a few hundred AI resolutions a month, the AI line alone can match or pass the Pro subscription. Stores that answer every chat by hand pay close to the list price.
The table below prices four common setups on the cheapest plan for each volume. Each assumes a share of conversations is resolved by the AI Agent, and those resolutions are part of the ticket count, because Gorgias bills each automated interaction as a ticket as well.
| Store size | Tickets a month | AI resolutions | Annual billing total | Monthly billing total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| New store, human replies only | 50 | 0 | not offered | $10 on Starter |
| Small store | 300 | 120 | $50 + 90 x $0.90 = $131 | $60 + 90 x $1.00 = $150 |
| Growing store | 1,200 | 600 | $300 + 410 x $0.90 = $669 (Pro) | $360 + 410 x $1.00 = $770 |
| Established brand | 3,000 | 1,500 | $750 + 970 x $0.90 = $1,623 (Advanced) | $900 + 970 x $1.00 = $1,870 |
Two things stand out. First, a growing store on Basic would pay more than on Pro: 1,200 tickets on Basic means 900 extra tickets at $0.40 ($360) plus 570 AI resolutions ($513), about $923 a month, so the plan jump pays for itself. Second, for the established brand the Pro plan looks cheaper on the pricing page but costs about $1,839 once 1,000 extra tickets and 1,310 AI resolutions are added, more than Advanced.
What is a billable ticket in Gorgias?
A billable ticket in Gorgias is a conversation, on any channel, that includes a message from a human agent, a Rule or the AI Agent. Newsletters, spam and auto-responders are filtered out and not billed. A conversation nobody replies to does not count, and one long back-and-forth with a customer counts once.
The detail that surprises most buyers is the AI overlap. Gorgias states that each automated interaction also counts as one helpdesk ticket and is billed accordingly. If a human agent replies within 72 hours of an AI resolution, the conversation is charged only as a ticket. In practice every AI-closed chat costs you a ticket from your allowance plus $0.90 to $1.00, which is why AI-heavy stores often run past their ticket limit before they expect to.
How much does the Gorgias AI Agent cost?
The Gorgias AI Agent costs $0.90 per resolution on annual billing and $1.00 per resolution on monthly billing, after the included allowance of 30 resolutions on Starter and Basic, 190 on Pro and 530 on Advanced. Each resolution also uses one ticket from your plan.
To estimate your own number, take last month's conversation count, multiply by the share the AI could close (use your own tags: chats about shipping, sizing and returns are the usual candidates), subtract the included resolutions and multiply by $0.90. A store with 2,000 conversations and a 50 percent AI rate on Pro pays about $729 a month for AI alone, more than twice the plan fee.
That AI line is the reason many stores price a Gorgias alternative with flat-price AI chat alongside their renewal. If most of your AI volume is repeat questions answered from your own store pages, paying per answer is the expensive way to do it.
Does Gorgias charge per user?
No, Gorgias does not charge per user on its main plans. It prices by ticket volume, so adding a fifth or fifteenth agent does not change the bill. The trade-off is that the bill tracks customer demand instead of headcount, which is harder to budget in seasonal businesses.
For a store with a steady team of three and a busy fourth quarter, this is the key planning question. A Pro store with 1,200 tickets in September can see 3,000 in December. On annual billing that moves the bill from about $669 to about $1,839 on the same plan, unless you upgrade to Advanced before the rush.
Is Gorgias worth the price?
Gorgias is worth the price when your agents work Shopify orders from inside the helpdesk every day: refunds, cancellations, address changes and order edits next to the conversation. It is harder to justify when most of your volume is repeat pre-sale questions, because each AI answer carries a per-resolution fee and a ticket.
Gorgias also has real strengths worth paying for: more than 250 integrations including Klaviyo, Yotpo, Recharge and Smile, voice and SMS in the same inbox, and support for Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento and WooCommerce. If you use those, the price buys something.
A lot of website chat, though, is questions like "is this back in stock next week?" and "does this ship to Texas by Friday?". An AI chatbot trained on your store answers those from your policy and product pages at a fixed monthly price. Stock questions in particular are only as good as your stock data; if stock-outs drive a large share of your chats, inventory forecasting fixes the problem before it becomes a ticket.
Gorgias pricing compared with a flat-price AI chatbot
InChat prices website AI chat by plan, not by ticket or resolution. Here are the same four store sizes, using InChat's yearly price ($24, $74 or $249 a month) and monthly price ($49, $149 or $499).
| Store size | Gorgias (annual) | InChat (yearly) | InChat plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| New store, human replies only | $10 (monthly only) | $24 | Starter, 500 AI conversations, 3 team members |
| Small store, 300 conversations | $131 | $24 | Starter |
| Growing store, 1,200 conversations | $669 | $74 | Plus, 2,000 AI conversations, 10 team members, email and social inbox |
| Established brand, 3,000 conversations | $1,623 | $249 | Pro, unlimited AI conversations and team members |
Gorgias wins the first row: at 50 tickets and no AI, $10 is hard to beat. It also does things InChat does not, such as editing Shopify orders from the ticket, phone and SMS. InChat answers from your store pages, hands order-specific questions to your team in a shared inbox and connects order data through webhooks and an API on Plus and Pro. Many stores keep Gorgias for email and order work and move only website chat, which removes most of the AI Agent line.
If you are comparing other chat tools at the same time, the Tidio pricing breakdown covers the most common Shopify chat app with its Lyro add-on, and Intercom Fin pricing shows the same per-resolution model at $0.99 per outcome. All InChat plans are on the pricing page, and the Gorgias alternative page has a migration plan you can run in an afternoon.
How to lower your Gorgias bill
- Pick the plan for your peak month, not your average. Overage on Basic ($0.40) is higher than on Pro ($0.36), and the included AI resolutions jump from 30 to 190.
- Go annual if you are staying. Annual billing cuts the plan fee by about 16 percent and each AI resolution from $1.00 to $0.90.
- Fix the pages behind repeat questions. A clear size chart or delivery table removes tickets entirely, which is cheaper than any AI resolution.
- Move website chat to a flat plan. Keep order work in Gorgias and let a flat-price AI chatbot absorb pre-sale questions, so the busiest weeks stop setting the price.
