Tidio Pricing: Chatbot Costs With Lyro, Flows and Branding

September 25, 2026

Answers from your own pages, human handoff, one line of JavaScript. Plans from $49/mo with AI conversations included.

Tidio pricing starts at $29 a month on Starter and $59 a month on Growth (monthly billing), or $24.17 and $49.17 a month billed yearly. Those base plans cover conversations your human agents answer. AI answers from the Lyro agent are a separate add-on starting at $39 a month for 50 AI conversations, Flows automation starts at $29 and removing Tidio branding on Growth costs $20. A realistic AI-enabled Growth setup lands near $147 a month.

That gap between the plan page and the invoice is why most people search for Tidio pricing in the first place. Below are the list prices, what each add-on costs, the monthly total for three typical setups, and where a flat-price tool comes out cheaper. All Tidio figures come from tidio.com/pricing, checked in September 2026.

Tidio plans and prices

PlanMonthly billingYearly billing (per month)What is included
Free$0$050 billable conversations, 10 seats, 50 one-off Lyro conversations, 100 Flows visitors
Starter$29$24.17100 billable conversations, 10 seats, 50 one-off Lyro conversations, 100 Flows visitors
Growthfrom $59from $49.17From 250 billable conversations (tiers up to 2,000), 10 seats, Lyro and Flows bought as add-ons
PlusCustomListed from $300 plus usageCustom conversation limits and seats, discounted Lyro rates
PremiumCustomCustomFrom 3,000 Lyro conversations, guaranteed 50% Lyro resolution rate

Two details shape every bill. First, Starter and Growth both cap you at 10 seats, so an 11th agent means a sales conversation about Plus. Second, the 50 Lyro conversations on Free and Starter are a one-time allowance, not a monthly one. Once they are used, AI answers need the paid add-on.

How much does Tidio Lyro cost?

Tidio Lyro costs from $39 a month with monthly billing ($32.50 billed yearly) for 50 AI conversations. Tidio publishes only that entry tier; larger Lyro volumes are priced on its pricing page slider or by quote, and Plus and Premium customers get discounted rates. Each conversation Lyro handles counts against the Lyro quota, separate from your billable human conversations.

Fifty AI conversations is a small number for a store with steady traffic. If 2% of 5,000 monthly visitors open the chat and ask something, that is 100 conversations, twice the entry tier. Before you commit, pull last month's chat count from your current tool and price Lyro at that volume, not at the starting price.

What does Tidio really cost per month?

Here is what three common setups cost at monthly billing once you add what is needed for AI answers, automation and a clean widget. Tidio columns use published entry prices, so higher AI volumes will cost more than shown.

SetupTidio line itemsTidio totalFlat-price comparison (InChat)
Small store, AI answering FAQsStarter $29 + Lyro $39$68 for 100 human and 50 AI conversations$49 Starter, 500 AI conversations, 3 team members
Growing team, automation, no brandingGrowth $59 + Lyro $39 + Flows $29 + branding $20$147 for 250 human and 50 AI conversations$149 Plus, 2,000 AI conversations, workflow builder, 10 team members
Team with more than 10 agentsPlus planQuoted, listed from $300 plus usage$499 Pro, unlimited AI conversations and team members

The pattern is simple. Tidio is cheaper when people answer most chats and AI is a side feature. Once AI handles the bulk of questions, the add-on model gets expensive quickly, because you pay per block of AI conversations on top of a plan that already counts human ones.

Is Tidio free?

Tidio has a free plan, but it is built for trying the product rather than running support. It includes 50 billable conversations a month, 10 seats and a one-time pool of 50 Lyro AI conversations. Once a store gets real chat volume, it needs Starter or Growth, and AI answers need the paid Lyro add-on.

What counts as a billable conversation in Tidio?

A billable conversation in Tidio is one where a human agent sends at least one message. Chats that only the Lyro AI agent or a Flow handles do not count toward the plan limit, though Lyro chats count against the separate Lyro quota. Unanswered messages do not count either. That split is why a Tidio bill needs two volume numbers, not one.

Is Tidio worth the money?

Tidio is worth the money for small teams that mostly chat by hand, want a free or $29 starting point and use Shopify, where its app is strong. It is weaker value when AI should answer most questions, because Lyro starts at 50 conversations for $39 and the plan limits stop at 10 seats before a custom-priced tier.

Ask two questions before renewing. How many conversations did the bot handle last month, and how many did a person handle? If the bot number is larger, you are the customer the add-on model charges the most.

How to lower your Tidio bill

  • Switch to yearly billing. It saves roughly 17% on the plan and on each add-on.
  • Drop Flows if you only use greetings. Simple proactive messages do not always need a separate automation subscription.
  • Right-size the Growth tier. Growth is sold in billable-conversation tiers from 250 up to 2,000. If agents answer fewer chats than your tier, step down.
  • Move to a plan that includes AI. If Lyro is the growing line item, a flat-price chatbot with AI in the plan removes it. Our Tidio alternative page compares the two setups side by side.

A chat widget is only one lever on a store's revenue. If visitors leave product pages before they ever open the chat, a conversion rate audit of the page copy and layout may do more than any support tool.

How to estimate your Tidio bill before you buy

Estimate a Tidio bill from two numbers: conversations a person answers each month and conversations the AI answers. Map the first to a Starter or Growth tier, the second to a Lyro tier, then add Flows and branding if you need them. Yearly billing takes about 17% off the total.

A worked example: a US home goods store gets 12,000 visitors a month and about 400 chats. If Lyro could answer 300 of them, the team handles 100. That fits Starter's 100 billable conversations, but 300 AI conversations is six times Lyro's $39 entry tier, so the AI line has to be priced on Tidio's slider or quoted. Add Growth if the team wants branding removed, and the plan page price is a small share of the final bill. Run the same two numbers through any tool you are comparing so the totals are like for like.

Tidio pricing compared with Intercom

Tidio is far cheaper than Intercom at small scale. Intercom charges $29 to $132 per seat each month on annual billing plus $0.99 for every issue its Fin AI agent resolves, so a 3 seat team with 500 AI resolutions pays about $582 a month. Tidio's entry prices are much lower, though its cost for 500 AI conversations sits outside the published entry tier and needs a quote. A flat plan with AI included prices that same volume up front.

Tidio vs a flat-price AI chatbot

InChat trains an AI agent on your website, docs and FAQ, answers visitors 24/7 and hands the chat to your team when a person is needed. AI conversations are part of the plan: 500 a month on Starter ($49, or $24 billed yearly), 2,000 on Plus ($149) and unlimited on Pro ($499). There is no AI add-on, no automation add-on and no branding fee. See every plan on our AI chatbot pricing page.

Where Tidio still wins, honestly: it has a free plan, a lower entry price for human-only chat and deeper Shopify order actions inside the widget. If that describes your team, stay put.
