LiveAgent Pricing From $15 per Agent Plus AI Credit Costs
October 09, 2026
LiveAgent pricing is per agent: $15, $29, $49 or $69 a month on yearly billing, or $19, $35, $59 and $85 on monthly billing, for the Small, Medium, Large and Enterprise plans. The AI chatbot is billed separately: LiveAgent's AI runs on FlowHunt, and its documentation says you need an active FlowHunt subscription and pay in credits on top of the seats. Social channels cost $39 a month each below the Large plan. There is a 30-day free trial without a credit card and no permanent free plan on the current pricing page.
Below are the plans, the limits that push teams up a tier, what the AI really costs, and monthly totals for four team sizes. Prices come from liveagent.com/pricing and liveagent.com/features/ai-credits, checked in October 2026.

LiveAgent pricing plans compared
| Plan | Yearly billing | Monthly billing | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small business | $15 per agent a month | $19 | Ticketing, live chat, knowledge base, customer portal, contact forms, automation rules, AI agents |
| Medium business | $29 | $35 | Call center and IVR, AI agents with full setup, reports, proactive chat invitations, SLAs, SSO, custom roles |
| Large business | $49 | $59 | Facebook, Instagram, X, Viber, Telegram and WhatsApp included, time tracking, audit log |
| Enterprise | $69 | $85 | Account manager, priority support, branding removal included, custom billing |
Ticket history is unlimited on every plan, and the mobile apps are included. The yearly discount is about 21% on Small and 17% to 19% on the other plans.
How much does LiveAgent cost per month?
LiveAgent costs $15 a month for one agent on the Small plan with yearly billing, $45 for three agents and $150 for ten. A team that needs phone support pays at least $29 per agent on Medium, so five agents with a call center come to $145 a month yearly or $175 monthly, before any AI usage or social channel add-ons.
The per-agent line is easy to read. What catches teams out is everything that does not scale with agents: the AI subscription, social channels, and the caps on chat buttons and email inboxes.
The limits that move you up a plan
Each plan caps a few things that have nothing to do with headcount. When you hit one, the only way past it is a higher plan for every agent on the account.
| Limit | Small | Medium | Large | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Live chat buttons | 2 | 5 | 50 | 100 |
| Incoming email accounts | 3 | 10 | 150 | 500 |
| Canned messages | 20 | 100 | 500 | 1,000 |
| Event rules | 50 | 150 | 500 | 1,000 |
A store that runs a second brand needs a third chat button, which means Medium. A team with four shared inboxes (support, sales, billing, returns) is already past Small. Twenty canned messages on Small is also tight for anyone with a real catalog of answers.
How much do LiveAgent's AI features cost?
LiveAgent's AI chatbot, AI answer assistant and AI human handover run on FlowHunt, a separate platform from the same company, and need an active FlowHunt subscription. Usage is paid in FlowHunt credits, and LiveAgent estimates about half a cent to one cent per customer question and about four questions per chat.
LiveAgent's own worked example: a store with 5,000 visitors a month, 15% of whom open the chat, has about 750 chat sessions and 3,000 questions, which comes to roughly 30 credits a month. A credit is worth a little under a dollar. On top of that comes a one-time crawl of your site at about one cent per page, so a 300-page site costs around $3 to index.
The subscription itself is the part to confirm before you buy. FlowHunt's pricing page listed a Starter plan with 50 credits a month and a Pro plan with 120 credits, priced in euros at about 50 and 120 euros when we checked, while LiveAgent's credits page still mentions a $10 starter plan. Either way, the AI is a second account and a second invoice next to your seats, and the credit balance moves with your traffic.
What social channels and add-ons cost
Below the Large plan, social channels are paid add-ons on the account: Facebook, X and Viber are $39 a month each, Instagram is $19 a month on top of the Facebook integration it needs, and WhatsApp is $39. Time tracking and each extra knowledge base are $19 a month, and removing LiveAgent branding is $19 a month (included on Enterprise).
This creates a break-even worth checking. Five agents on Medium with Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp pay $145 + $39 + $19 + $39 = $242 a month on yearly billing. The same five agents on Large pay $245 with all of those included plus time tracking. Above five agents with social channels, Large is usually cheaper.
LiveAgent cost for four team sizes
| Team | LiveAgent plan | Seats, yearly billing | Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 agent, chat and email | Small | $15 a month ($19 monthly) | Nothing, unless you add AI |
| 3 agents with an AI chatbot, about 750 chats | Small | $45 ($57 monthly) | FlowHunt subscription, about 30 credits used |
| 5 agents with a call center and AI | Medium | $145 ($175 monthly) | FlowHunt, plus $39 per social channel |
| 10 agents with social channels and AI, about 3,000 chats | Large | $490 ($590 monthly) | FlowHunt, about 120 credits used |
Phone support is where LiveAgent earns its price: IVR and call routing come with the Medium seat. If all you need is a few lines for sales and support rather than a call queue inside the help desk, a cloud business phone system with a local or toll-free number can cover calls while the help desk stays on the cheaper plan.
LiveAgent pricing compared with a flat AI chatbot plan
If most of your customer contact comes through the chat button on your website, a per-team plan with the AI included is usually the cheaper way to buy the same outcome. InChat includes an AI agent trained on your website in every plan: Starter is $24 a month billed yearly with 500 AI conversations and 3 team members, Plus is $74 with 2,000 conversations, 10 team members and email and social channels in one inbox, and Pro is $249 with unlimited conversations and unlimited team members.
| Team | LiveAgent, yearly | InChat, yearly |
|---|---|---|
| 3 people, AI chat, 750 chats | $45 plus FlowHunt | $74 (Plus), AI included |
| 8 people, AI chat, 2,000 chats | $232 on Medium plus FlowHunt | $74 (Plus), AI included |
| 15 people, social and AI, 5,000 chats | $735 on Large plus FlowHunt | $249 (Pro), AI included |
LiveAgent is cheaper at the very small end: three agents without AI cost $45, and one agent costs $15. It also does things InChat does not, above all phone support with IVR, and a full ticketing desk with a customer portal. If those are central to your work, stay on LiveAgent. If website chat is where the volume is, the LiveAgent alternative page shows the full side-by-side, and every InChat plan is listed on the AI chatbot pricing page.
Teams pricing several seat-based tools at once can run the same numbers in our LiveChat pricing, Help Scout pricing and Zendesk chat pricing breakdowns.
LiveAgent pricing questions
Does LiveAgent have a free plan?
The current LiveAgent pricing page shows no free plan. It lists four paid plans from $15 per agent a month on yearly billing and a 30-day free trial that does not ask for a credit card. Older reviews still mention a free tier, so treat those as out of date.
Is the LiveAgent AI chatbot included in the price?
The AI features are listed on every plan, with full setup from Medium, but using them requires an active FlowHunt subscription, and usage is paid in FlowHunt credits. LiveAgent estimates about one cent per customer question for budgeting, or roughly 4 cents per chat.
How much is LiveAgent for 5 agents?
Five agents cost $75 a month on Small, $145 on Medium, $245 on Large and $345 on Enterprise with yearly billing. On monthly billing the same plans are $95, $175, $295 and $425. AI credits and any social add-ons come on top.
Does LiveAgent charge per conversation?
No, the seats are flat per agent and ticket history is unlimited. The variable cost is AI usage, which FlowHunt bills in credits per question, so a busier month with the chatbot switched on costs more.
Is there a cheaper LiveAgent alternative with AI included?
Yes, for teams whose main channel is website chat. InChat starts at $24 a month billed yearly with 500 AI conversations and 3 team members, and Plus at $74 covers 10 team members and 2,000 conversations, with no separate AI subscription. The LiveAgent alternative comparison has the cost table.
